All 21 songs on Drake’s CLB album are expected to debut on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 after the album earned 744 million on-demand streams. “Fountains ft Tems” is one of the songs that is anticipated to debut at #26. Tems received a prominent appearance on Drake’s CLB album as compensation for her outstanding work on “Essence.”
It is both disturbing and admirable how quickly Nigerian music and performers are gaining popularity abroad. According to a recent poll, American superstars Beyonce and Lizzo, as well as Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems, are the only other women who have achieved a #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2022. Tems has been nominated for numerous awards over the course of her career and has gone on to win two NAACP Image Awards, two BET Awards, and a Soul Train Music Award.
Tems Hits New Record On Billboard Hot 100
Temilade Openiyi, a.k.a. “Tems,” a superstar singer who is well-known for her work, has achieved yet another major triumph with this song, which this time appears on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The singer achieved a new peak after Beyonce’s Move, on which she appears, hit the Billboard charts. As a result of this outcome, it is Tems’ third song to top the charts. She is now the second Nigerian performer to achieve this, joining Wizkid, a fellow Essence collaborator.
Other songs with Tems featured on them that have reached this milestone are Future’s Wait 4 U and Wizkid’s Essence. Following her tremendous performance of Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry” in the film’s trailer, the singer who has gained international popularity recently learned her voice on a song in the Black Panther 2 album Soundtrack.

Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage name Tems, gained national attention after a video of her dining with Canadian artist Drake appeared online. As was to be expected, many Nigerians were interested in learning more about the experience, and she was able to do so during a recent study session with her followers.
Temilade Openiyi was born on June 11, 1995, in Lagos, Nigeria. Shortly after she was born, her family moved to the UK; she had a Nigerian mother and a British-Nigerian father. Her parents split when she was five years old. With her mother and brother, Tems relocated to Nigeria. They moved from Ilupeju to Lekki and subsequently to Ajah.
