Man City hopeful of signing England midfielder Jude Bellingham

Man City are increasingly confident in tempting Jude Bellingham and convincing him to sign for them. Real Madrid is thought to be leading the race for his signature, but according to Etihad sources, it is believed that Bellingham will snub the advances of the Spanish side as well as that of their rivals Liverpool to sign for them instead and grab a chance to work with Pep Guardiola.

Bellingham is the subject of interest from a host of top clubs around the world which include, Manchester United, PSG, Liverpool and Chelsea. Rumours have it that Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson both tried to persuade Bellingham to join Liverpool by telling him Anfield was the best place for him to continue his development while they were at the England camp in Qatar for the World Cup.

The Birmingham City academy graduate has been a top target of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp since last season and is aware of how highly regarded he is by the German and his desire to work with him at Anfield. He is also being mooted as a potential signing for Man United, as they look to make a number of reinforcements. City is hopeful of sealing the deal, as they want him to work with Guardiola and also reunite him with former Bvb striker Erling Haaland.

His suitors have been informed that Bellingham will only move to where he thinks will benefit his game, as money is not the motivating factor for him when he picks his next club. He is widely expected to leave Germany in the summer and City is also prepared to break the £100m British transfer record they paid to Aston Villa for Jack Grealish in the summer of 2021.

It is understood that he could leave the signal Iduna park for just £83m if the entire fee is paid upfront, even though he is valued at £130m by Dortmund.
