Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg says WhatsApp Users can now Exit Groups Unnoticed With the new released Privacy Features – Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, has stated that WhatsApp users will soon be allowed to leave groups secretly. This is a component of the new privacy features the social media site has adopted.

Only the admins will be notified when leaving a group using the “Leave Groups Silently” function, as compared to the group members. The feature will be available this month to all users. Additionally, according to Zuckerberg, WhatsApp users can stop others from taking screenshots of messages marked as “view once.”

Zuckerberg recently posted on his Facebook page that WhatsApp would soon have new privacy features that’d let users leave group chats without alerting other participants, control who can see when you’re active, and prohibit screenshots of messages that had already been viewed.

The platform also released a statement, stating that “everyone has experienced times when they wanted to check their WhatsApp privately. However, knowing when friends or family are online help users feel connected to one another. WhatsApp is offering the ability to choose who can and cannot see when you’re online for those occasions when you want to keep your online presence secret.

Regarding the “View Once Messages” function, it was mentioned that “View Once” is already a hugely well-liked method of sharing images or other types of data that don’t require a permanent digital record. “the platform is now allowing screenshot blocking for View Once messages as an additional layer of security. Users will soon be able to use this functionality, which is now undergoing testing.

According to a new WhatsApp privacy survey, which the firm cited, 72% of users value being able to communicate honestly and unfiltered, but more than 47% are only at ease doing so in a safe, private setting. This supports the launch of these new capabilities, the company said.
