Rico Swavey, ex-Big Brother Naija, died due to injuries received in a car accident in the Lekki/Ajah region of Lagos State. He died in the early hours of Wednesday, just hours after another BBNaija star, Tobi Bakre, launched a fundraising campaign for his treatment.
His colleagues have gone to social media to express their shock at his untimely death. Alex Unusual, who had previously broken the news of Rico Swavey’s death, came to Twitter to grieve her colleague’s passing.
Rico, this was not what we agreed on. “RIP #ricoswavey,” Alex Unusual wrote. We lost him, stated Tobi Bakare, another Big Brother Naija star. But thank you very much, folks. God is the ultimate authority.

Rico Swavey has roughly seven siblings, and his family supported him during his season on the show. Growing up was everything but easy for him. Rico studied and graduated from the esteemed Babcock University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law. Career
Patrick Fakoya began his profession as an artist after graduating from Babcock University. Until the Big Brother Naija broadcast, this was his job path. Rico Swavey, on the other hand, became a reality TV celebrity and ex-BBnaija housemate by default after the program. Furthermore, he entered the Nigerian film business, often known as Nollywood.

Accident
Recall that his Big Brother Naija season 3 ex-housemate, Alex Asogwa, aka Alex Unusual, announced the sad news on her Twitter page on Tuesday.
According to her, the accident happened “hours ago,” and physicians were attempting to revive Rico Swavey at the time she left the hospital. In addition, Alex urged everyone to keep Rico Swavey in their thoughts and prayers because the position he was in was quite serious.
She also expressed her will to remain optimistic in the aftermath of the tragic event, posting a screenshot of the tweet to her Instagram story. On the other hand, Alex did not provide any specifics on the location of the accident or the manner in which it had place.
Death
Tobi Bakre, Rico’s co-star, died early in the morning on October 13th, 2022. Tobi Bakre posted a snapshot of himself and the dead on his Instagram profile, revealing that he will use the photo to remember him. This is how I shall remember you, sir. Forever.
This happened hours after Bakre begged the public to help save his co-life. He implored Nigerians to give money to assist preserve the life of Rico Swavey, who was on life support.
