Robbie Coltrane ‘the Scottish actor who played the beloved half-giant Hagrid in the Harry Potter films is dead. His agent made a comment that he died on Friday aged 72.
Robbie Coltrane Brief Life Career
His is born on 30th March in the year 1950 in Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire. Anthony Robert made a change to his professional name as a homage to celebrated Jazz musician “John Coltrane”. Robbie Coltrane was a gifted actor and a star of Britain’s 1980 comedy boom playing a part in TV roles including frequent appearances in ” the comic strip presents”.
1997 marks his move up to greater prominence alongside Emma Thompson in John Bryne’s miniseries (Tutti Frutti as doomed lead singer Big Jazza McGlone in a tale of fictional Scots rock ‘n’ roll band The Majestics). “Coltrane is one of the funniest people I have met”, says Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe ‘age 33’.
He continued;
“I have fond memories of him keeping our spirit up as prisoners of Azkaban. At the time we were all hiding from torrential rain fit hours in Hagrids hug and he starts telling stories and joking to keep the spirit up” this film he is talking about was released in 2004.

Britain PA media reported that; Robbie Coltrane died in a hospital near Falkirk which is in Scotland. His agent said that he is survived by Annie Rae “his sister”, Spencer ” his children” and Alice – Rhona Gemmell “their mother”.
