Tinubu, Atiku supporters in panic, as ”Obidients” celebrates Peter Obi’s enormous reception in Eneche’s Dunamis

The labour party presidential candidate Peter Obi received an enormous cheer upon his visit to the Dunamis International Gospel Center on Friday, July 30th 2022, to attend the “Judgement Praise Night with Pastor Paul Enenche”.

As seen in the two minutes video, Becky Enenche, the wife of the senior pastor of the Dunamis Gospel Center, while introducing Mr Peter Obi during the Church’s prayer vigil on Friday, said. “We also have tonight, Mr Peter Obi, who has joined this service this evening”. The whole congregation, estimated to be about 100 thousand, flared up in ecstatic applause.

Paul Enenche, a Pro Igbo presidency advocate was beyond pleased to meet the leader of the “Obidient” movement. The cleric also shook hands with Mr Peter Obi, who was amazed by the warm reception he received from the church assembly.

Months ago, Enenche lamented the denial of party tickets to southerners, especially southeasterners, for the 2023 presidential elections. He described the act as marginalization. Reactions have trailed the Friday Video, with many asserting that he is the man of the people and that the unusual applause indicated that he was indeed who Nigerians want at this point.

Others, who are assumed to be fans of the All Progressive Congress Candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the People Democratic Party Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, have taken a swipe at Peter Obi’s supporters, describing those applauses as just formalities and due respect to a presidential candidate. Many argued that most of the people in that congregation haven’t done their voter’s cards and are only social media noise makers who won’t vote come 2023.

Mr Peter Obi became the labour party presidential candidate, after his defection from the people’s democratic party (PDP), on May 25th, 2022. Many have suggested that his defection was because he realized his slim chances of clinching the party’s ticket. He has since then become a social media sensation and the proposed change Nigeria youths have been beckoning for.
