Man City have learnt from Liverpool’s mistakes – Arsenal and the rest should be afraid

Even though Manchester City seems ready to rule for a long time, Arsenal has done a great job of making the title a real battle.

I have bad news for the teams that already have plans to pass Manchester City the following year. They’re not going to get worse.

This season, I’ve really enjoyed watching Arsenal play, and I really like how Mikel Arteta has brought balance to a team that has a little bit of everything.

Newcastle has also been fun to watch, and I like how Eddie Howe has helped them build a good base before sending them on a quick, bold attack. They will definitely be better next season.

Jurgen Klopp will make smart hires this summer to give Liverpool the missing piece in the middle of the pitch, so they can’t be as bad either. Even if it takes a few years, Manchester United will get better.

On paper, it seems great, doesn’t it? At least four teams are getting better and putting pressure on the Champions-elect so that the Premier League doesn’t become a one-horse town like the French Ligue 1.

But if you look at how old City’s players are, you’ll see that they’ve almost put together a team with years left in it by chance.

Aside from their backup goalie Scott Carson, a former friend of mine who makes me feel awfully old since I left the league about 15 years ago, only four of their players are over 30. Kevin de Bruyne is one of the best players in the world.

This year, six of their players who are all younger than 23 have played in at least 20 games. With Dias and Rodri, they have almost a whole soccer team, and they still have a lot of years left in them.

But that’s not why I’d tell the other people to be scared. You don’t just get a group with such a personality by chance. It’s on purpose. I’ve also heard that they work hard to keep a young look.

From what I’ve heard, they don’t want to make the same mistake that Liverpool did this season and let their stars all get old at the same time.
