Jorginho sends “honest” title message to Arsenal teammates after Newcastle win

The former Chelsea player was very important in the middle of the pitch as Mikel Arteta’s team beat third-place Newcastle at St James’s Park on Sunday with a strong showing.

Jorginho says that Arsenal should worry less about Manchester City and more about winning the league title.

Jorginho, a defender for the Gunners, says that they can’t even think about losing to City until they are fully focused on winning their next three games.

By beating Newcastle, Arsenal sent a strong message to the rest of the title race and put some pressure back on Pep Guardiola’s team. The following Sunday, City will play Everton, and then later that same day, Arsenal will play Brighton, but Jorginho says they can only worry about themselves.

Since losing here doesn’t matter, Jorginho said, “I’ll be honest with you, I don’t watch their games. As long as we do well, we are making a difference.

“We’ll find out what happens at the end. We don’t know what will happen. We should work on what we already know how to do. Then they have things to do and ideas to think about. So there it is.

Jorginho is one of the most experienced players on Arsenal’s team. He is 31 years old. He helped Italy win the 2021 Euro and won the Champions League with Chelsea.

Because of this, his advice on what it takes to succeed will be important to Arsenal, and his presence has changed the way the team and Mikel Arteta’s dressing room work.

Arsenal’s last three games are against Brighton, Nottingham Forest, and Wolves. Two of the games are at home, and the last game against an away team is at the City Ground.

Now that the stakes are higher, Arsenal surprised doubters by beating Newcastle, and Jorginho said that the pressure was more fun than scary to play in. He also tells them that from now on, they need to “embrace” it.

Jorginho said, “This kind of setting is just so beautiful, isn’t it?” This is sports. The people’s energy and how intense the mood is are both interesting.

“This place needs to make you feel like you can do great things, because it’s hard to do so if you’re feeling shy.
