Jamie Carragher reacts to Newscastle win over Chelsea
After watching London club Chelsea lose to Newcastle United on Saturday 12th November, Jamie Carragher said he doesn’t believe how much money the blues of London has spent during the summer transfer window. This is what Carragher said after seeing Chelsea’s poor performance against Newcastle.
Now that Chelsea has lost three straight Premier League games, they will start the winter break in eighth place overall.
Even though the Blues have a lot of players going to the World Cup next week, none of them seems to be in great shape right now so many of them are not fit and haven’t performed well in their last few games.
The team led by Graham Potter lost 1-0 to Newcastle in the match this evening. In the second half, Joe Willock of Newscastle scored the goal that won them the game.
English football Pundit Jamie Carragher talked about how much money Chelsea spent on players in the transfer market after the team lost the third game in a row.
The players who play for Eddie Howe are doing better than many other players. Carragher said on Twitter that many people also find it hard to believe that Chelsea spent $275 million on a team that has been very successful in recent years but has declined immediately after their spending rather than improving.
Graham Potter still has a lot of work to do with his boys, so it is reasonable for someone to talk about how much money was released by Todd Boehy for signings made.
Wesley Fofana’s purchase from Leicester City for £70 million was a big part of Chelsea’s spending, so it’s not good that he got hurt early and has missed many games due to his injury.

Putting money into the team is a good thing, but when you compare Chelsea’s operations to those of Mancity, Arsenal, and of course Newcastle, the club seems to be falling behind.
