2023 Infineon Scholarships at University of Padua, Italy

Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia defines scholarship as a form of financial aid awarded to students to further their education. It’s either because they lack financial capacity or they show great academic prowess. As a result of this, the awardees must have attained some standards such as academic merit, diversity and inclusion, athletic school and financial need to be able to qualify for a scholarship.

Different colleges and universities give financial aid awards to undergraduate and postgraduate students to help them further their education. It might happen that the money is given to the students directly as a cheque or it is paid to the school.

Scholarships can be in the form of a full scholarship where everything is paid for by the awardee or it is a part scholarship whereby part of the education expenses is paid for. Just like other international schools, the University of Padua in Italy also gives scholarships to students.

A brief history of the school

The University of Padua is an Italian university located in the city of Padua region of Veneto which is in Northern Italy. It was founded in 1222 by both students and teachers of Bologna. It is the second-oldest university in Italy and the fifth-oldest in the world.

As of 2010, it had over 65,000 students. By 2021, it was ranked as the second-best Italian university according to Census Institute. It is also ranked as one of the best 200 universities in the world according to ARWU.

The Infineon Scholarship for International Students at the University of Padua, Italy- 2023 is for international students (students foreign to Italy) and it is for those seeking to do their master’s degree. The university recently announced that the application for the scholarship is now open.

In the course of the scholarship, 5000 Euros is awarded to qualifying students of any nationality who have applied for the Master’s degree course in “Ingegneria Electronica” at the University of Padua for the 2022/2023 academic year.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE INFINEON SCHOLARSHIP

  • Applicants must have enrolled and applied for the eligible course.
  • Applicants must have a foreign bachelor’s degree in Information Engineering to be able to qualify for the Master’s degree program at the University of Padua.
  • Applicants must be able to speak English fluently.
  • Applicants must be able to provide English proficiency test results as proof.

It would be an added advantage to an applicant to be able to speak the Italian language or have knowledge of it. However, these criteria are neither compulsory nor mandatory.
