Funke Akindele, a Nollywood actress and politician, became a year older, unlike past years when she celebrated with a birthday shoot featuring her husband, Mr Bello aka JJC Skillz, this year she went alone.
Funke Akindele, a mother of two boys and a Lagos state gubernatorial contender, celebrated her birthday on Instagram with lovely images of herself.

Funke Akindele reassured herself that God would never abandon her. Oluwaseun! OLUFUNKE AKINDELE, happy birthday!! In Jesus’ name, he will never leave you! AMEN! Funke Akindele intimated to her followers that she would turn 45 and was ecstatic with the sensation it provided her.

She wrote, “I will be 45 in a few days!!” Hear,t of gratitude Lord, thank You. A new chapter. Has begun. Mr Bello finally announced their divorce in an early Thursday morning Instagram post, six years after their marriage and countless rumours of separation.

“Dear Friends and family, I need to let you know that Funke and I have split,” the music producer and filmmaker posted on his Instagram page. We shared many things and had two lovely children while it lasted. We have had a difficult two years. I did all I could to fix it, but I feel it is beyond repair.

I moved out of the house three months ago, at Funke Akindele’s request, and have yet to convince Funke Akindele to sit down peacefully to revoke the relationship.

I’m announcing to let everyone know that we’re both living different lives. We still have issues to work out, like the custody and well-being of our children, which is vital, and commercial interests to sort out, but I have no faith that these will be handled one way or the other.

Funke Akindele’s Biography

Akindele-Bello Olufunke Ayotunde, often known as Funke Akindele or Jenifa, is an irian film actress and producer born on August 24, 1977. From 1998 until 2002, Funke Akindele appeared in the sitcom I Need to Know, and in 2009, she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. She rose to prominence for her appearance in the film Jenifa, which earned her the moniker Jenifa.

The Omo Ghetto trilogy boosted her fame Funke starred in Jenifa’s Diary, for which she won Best Actress in a Comedy at the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. In 2022, she was named as Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran’s running partner for the Lagos state governorship election by the People’s Democratic Party.

Funke married Adeola Kehinde Oloyede on May 26, 2012. In July 2013, the couple split, citing irreconcilable differences. In May 2016, Funke Akindele married a popular Nigerian rapper JJC Skillz in the city of London. Her pregnancy speculations were among the top Google search results in August 2017. Funke Akindele, who has multiple stepchildren, gave birth to twin boys in December 2018.
