On New Year’s Eve, a deadly crush occurred during festivities in Uganda’s capital city, Kampala.

Reports indicate that the crash happened at around midnight as crowds gathered to watch a concert and celebrate the start of the new year in Kampala.

Deadly crash in Kampala: The sad event

The concert, which was being held at a venue known as the “Freedom City,” was reportedly packed with people, and as the clock struck midnight, many of the concert-goers tried to leave the venue at the same time.

As people rushed towards the exits, a crash occurred, and several people were trampled in the stampede. The exact number of casualties is not yet known, but reports suggest that at least ten people have died as a result of the incident, with many more injured.
