With Arsenal facing competition from Manchester united to sign Cody Gakpo, Taremi is seen as a capable alternative. The 30-year-old is an experienced campaigner who is valued at about €20million. He’s entering the final 18months of his contract at the club and Porto might be tempted to do business if he refuses to commit his future to the club.

So far he’s enjoying a good season, in which he has scored 13 goals in 20 appearances and five of those goals have come in the champions league where he has helped the Portuguese giants to qualify for the round of 16.
