Newsgist24 exclusively revealed that the Brazilian had gone on strike at his present club in an effort to force a transfer. Antony is now close to realizing his dream of joining United, as seen in a  video that shows him entering the Carrington training facility’s main entrance. It won’t be long before Antony is welcomed as a Red Devil; he is anticipated to finish his medicals without any issue. The decision was made as a result of the Brazilian international’s shocking interview with the Guardian, in which he discussed his circumstances and efforts to arrange a more amiable departure from Ajax.

Antony said that since February of this year, his agents have travelled to Amsterdam to let Ajax know of his wish to leave the club and take on a new challenge, as well as the fact that some interested clubs would be travelling there with a nice offer.

He also said that meetings went on during the window months, and he also got a contract renewal proposal from Ajax but he reiterated what he had already said, that he wants to leave.

According to Antony, he had a great time in Amsterdam, where he enjoyed winning championships with Ajax, making friends, and developing a portion of his career. However, he wants to reiterate that he is now prepared and motivated to pursue his goals.

Ten Hag said after Southampton defeated Southampton 1-0 on Saturday to complete a back-to-back victory, “We keep to the plan, and if there are substantial players available we will strike because we always want to strengthen the group.” We shall therefore be watchful right up until the final second of the window”.

Antony won’t likely play in Thursday’s game, however, an announcement will soon be made. Before the young Sao Paulo player can be officially registered as a United player, he must acquire a work permit for the UK.
