Summary of 2023 Fully Funded Scholarship at the University of Bonn and UNU-EHS Germany

2023 Fully Funded Scholarship at the University of Bonn and UNU-EHS Germany began in 2017. It is a joint program and is a part of a selected group of international postgraduate programs that benefits the EPOS funding scheme offered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

DAAD Scholarship is a German private, federally funded, and state-funded, self-governing national agency of the institutions of Higher learning in Germany, representing 365 German Higher education institutions (100 universities, 162 general universities of applied sciences, and 52 colleges of arts and music).

The joint M.Sc program provides postgraduate students with the opportunity of getting detailed knowledge, critical understanding, strategies, and the tools needed to take an interdisciplinary approach toward environmental risk and human security. It is the third program in Bonn to be admitted to the DAAD funding scheme.

The 2023 Fully Funded Scholarship at the University of Bonn and UNU-EHS Germany is born out of the collaboration between the University of Bonn Department of Geography and the United Nations University aimed at the internalization of the University of Bonn, supported by DAAD.

Successful applicants will be Funded to cover all expenses relating to the study program as well as their cost of living in Bonn. It is awarded to students who make it on merit.

Eligibility: 

To be eligible for the 2023 Fully Funded Scholarship at the University of Bonn and UNU-EHS Germany 

  • You must be a citizen of a developing country.
  • You must have completed your bachelor’s program in any recognized Institution.
  • You must have at least two years of practical work experience (e.g. with an NGO, GO, or the private sector) in a field related to the study program.
  • Have outstanding grades.
